» Elephant who survived Khmer Rouge needs help | smh.com.au
Sombo is such a nice elephant. I’ll never forget the first time I saw her: I was sitting on my balcony, which was on the second floor and facing the street. Suddenly, a person, sitting, sort of glided by. It didn’t register at first, but then I did a double take and ran to the edge of the balcony. Looking over, there was an elephant with a person on her back, just strolling down my street. I loved when I would see Sombo on her walks around town, and sometimes I would go visit her at Wat Phnom.
Domrai la-ah.
